Specialty documents now available in DGEM: Cash Balance, 403(b), and ESOP
ASCi continues to expand the list of available documents
LOS ANGELES, CA – January 8, 2007 -
ASCi has announced that its Document Generation & Management (DGEM) System now offers specialty documents. This includes a cash balance plan document, a 403(b) Tax Sheltered Annuity document, and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) document, both with and without a 401(k) feature. These specialty documents are in addition to DGEM’s existing prototype and volume submitter defined contribution and defined benefit plan documents. The specialty documents are licensed components of the DGEM system and can be accessed by registered DGEM users through a one-time license fee or on a per-document basis.

More about the DGEM System
DGEM is an online document system that enables administrators and plan sponsors to quickly and easily create customized plan documents. Using simple online checklists and forms, documents are generated automatically in seconds. Client information and historical documents are stored in the system, allowing easy retrieval of prior plan documents and amendments. The DGEM system also contains a pre-populated forms module that allows users to create customized administrative forms based on specific plan information. DGEM can be used to create new plan documents, EGTRRA restatements, or plan amendments.
The wizard feature included with DGEM allows administrators to generate hundreds or thousands of amendments and forms in a fraction of the time. The DGEM system currently includes the following document wizards:
- Roth 401(k) Amendment Wizard
- Final 401(k)/401(m) Regulations Amendment
- IRS Form 8905 Wizard
- Safe Harbor Notice Wizard
ASCi has been updating DGEM regularly, rapidly expanding the list of available documents. DGEM currently includes volume submitter and prototype plan documents for PS/401(k), PS, MP, DB, and individually designed specialty documents (including cash balance, 403(b) and ESOP documents), with other plans on the way.
