Position: Defined Benefit Software Support Specialist / Senior Actuarial Analyst

Do you like interacting with clients at conferences? Do you have actuarial experience, but haven’t finished exams? If so, you might love working at ASC for the Defined Benefit Support Team. ASC is seeking a self-motivated senior pension administrator/consultant or senior actuarial analyst to join a support team known for superior customer service. Job location may be telecommuting, or (post-Covid-19) in our Los Angeles, CA office. Benefits include a 37.5 work week without time sheets, flexible hours, medical and dental insurance, 401(k) and 125 plans, PTO, continuing education/conference attendance, and home office costs.

Your role would be to help our many users of the ASC DB Valuation and Compliance Testing system.

You would join our team that:

  • Provides superior client support via phone, email, and online meetings
  • Works with clients and developers to deliver product enhancements
  • Creates and updates training materials, including webcasts, video series, user guides, online Help and FAQs
  • Delivers onsite or online client training
  • Stays current with legislative and regulatory guidance by attending conferences and webcasts
  • Professionally represents ALL ASC products when meeting with clients and prospects

Knowledge and Skills needed:

  • Demonstrated customer service mindset – focused on helping and teaching
  • ASC system experience (5+ years)
  • Creative problem-solving
  • Clear written and oral communication
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively remotely to complete special projects
  • Broad knowledge of pension valuations, including multiple decrement valuations, compliance testing, accounting, plan documents, proposals and reporting requirements
  • Credentials – ASPPA or EA, or progress toward credentials are preferred but not required
